Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has impressed upon the religious scholars and Mashaikh Uzam to spearhead the mission of spreading the teachings and Aswa-e-Husna of Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) through their platforms and motivate the people to follow the blessed way of life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH).
While addressing the international Mashaikh and Ulema conference under the aegis of Auqaf department on Monday in connection with Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen, the CM said love for Ulema and Mashaikh has been a social tradition and it is commendable that the Ulema and Sufi Saints have always rendered yeoman service for the religion of Islam. It is sanguine that they have played their role for the collective good in the country. Meanwhile, the purpose of celebrating Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen is to sensitize the world that Muslims' utmost love and affection for Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) is beyond every love. The reverence and honour of Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) will always prevail over everything, he asserted.
The CM said 10574 Shan-e-Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen scholarships, valuing 27.38 crore rupees, have been given to bright but needy students. 29142 scholarships of 83 crore rupees will be given this year and the amount will be increased to one billion rupees, he said. It is noteworthy that the 'Seerat Chairs' have been established in IUB, Ghazi University DG Khan, Okara University, GCU Faisalabad, University of Chakwal and BZU Multan to fund the research, he said. It is satisfying that different celebrations were being held across the province to celebrate the blissful arrival of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) to this world. Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen will be celebrated with more zeel and enthusiasm next year and I also pay tributes to PM Imran Khan for initiating the tradition of officially celebrating Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen, added the chief minister and announced that this tradition will be continued.
Auqaf Minister Saeed ul Hassan Shah, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad and Auqaf Secretary Nabeel Javed also spoke on this occasion. SACM Hasaan Khawar, secretaries, religious scholars and notables persons of other religions also attended the conference. The CM distributed cash prizes and awards among position holders of Na'at competitions and writers of books on Seerat-e-Tayyba.
